The Kyoto University Cheering Squad goes back to 1956 (Showa 31) when a young man watching a baseball game could no longer suppress the enthusiasm that welled up inside him and took charge of the cheering. Since then, we have been inspiring Kyoto University as a university-wide cheering squad by cheering on in various sports, such as baseball and American football. More than 400 graduates have inherited our founding spirit over more than six decades. We at the Ibukikai aim to assist the Kyoto University Cheering Squad spiritually and materially as well as support its wholesome activities.
