For all alumni

Kyoto University Kokonoekai

Kyoto University Kokonoekai was established in November 2021 as an organization that transcends the boundaries of faculty and graduate school, building new networks and offering gentle support for female students and researchers at Kyoto University while deepening relationships among employed women who are graduates of Kyoto University. Since its establishment, its members have strengthened their exchanges and have held fun activities together.
It is unfortunate that Japanese empowerment of women lags far behind much of the rest of the world, raising questions about the slow progress in this area. Additionally, the ratio of women at Kyoto University is low, indicating a need for the university to catch up.
We want to contribute to the development of our alma mater, Kyoto University, and further communicate the purpose of our association to the broader society. We ask everyone who has spent or is spending some time at Kyoto University to consider joining.
