For all alumni

Kyoto University Korean-in Japan Alumni (KUKIJA)

The Association can be traced back to the Kyoto Imperial University Korean Alumni Association, which was founded by more than 40 Korean students around the time of the Second Sino-Japanese War that broke out in 1937. The name was subsequently changed to the Kyoto University Unification Alumni Association in 1985 and the Kyoto University Korean-in Japan Alumni (KUKIJA) in 2010. On November 12, 2016, it was incorporated as the General Incorporated Association Kyoto University Korean-in Japan Alumni (KUKIJA).

At present, the membership is open not only to Korean graduates residing in Japan but also to current international students from South Korea, China, and Russia. We foster friendship among our members through welcome parties for new students, general meetings, and social gatherings.
