The Kyoto University Hiroshima Alumni is a local alumni association whose members are graduates (faculties and graduate schools) and former instructors of Kyoto University in Hiroshima Prefecture. The number of members is about 1,000, mainly consisting of persons residing and working in or originally from Hiroshima Prefecture. In addition to holding a general meeting once a year in November, we also hold a monthly drinking party called the Yoshidayama Salon, watch baseball at Mazda Stadium, and arrange a golf tournament twice a year. Furthermore, on the day of the general meeting, we organize a free public lecture for residents, which has been well received by many (including high school students). The president, vice president, and professors from Kyoto University have attended general meetings and social gatherings to share the latest news about the University. Graduates of a wide range of ages, from new graduates in their 20s to those in their 80s and 90s, participate in the general meetings, deepening the exchanges.
