Rakuhokai  (fuel chemistry, petrochemistry, and energy and hydrocarbon chemistry)

This is an alumni association consisting of graduates of the Department of Fuel Chemistry and the Department of Petrochemistry at the Faculty of Engineering as well as the Department of Matter and Energy Chemistry at the Graduate School of Engineering.
More than 80 years have passed since the establishment of the Department of Fuel Chemistry in 1939 (Showa 14), and the number of undergraduate and postgraduate alumni and faculty members who are active in the industry, government, and academe has exceeded 3,000.
The association’s activities are intended not only to promote mutual friendship among these members and to contribute to the development of the divisions, the university, and related industries, but also to build a broad intergenerational network of people.
