Rakusokai  (Department of Chemical Engineering)

The Rakusokai is an alumni association of the former Department of Chemical Machinery and the former Department of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Undergraduate Course Program of Chemical Process Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering, and related laboratories.
The Rakusokai has approximately 2,000 members, including graduates, current and former faculty members, and former research students. It aims to contribute to the development of the Department of Chemical Engineering through mutual friendship among its members.
Every year in October, a general meeting is held in Kyoto, and at the same time, a lecture meeting is held jointly with the Industry–Academia Exchange Committee of the Department of Chemical Engineering. The Tokyo branch also holds an annual general meeting. Additionally, the Association also organizes lectures for current students where graduates introduce their work. A newsletter is published once a year.
