Rakuyukai  (electrical and electronic engineering)

The Rakuyukai is an alumni association centered on graduates of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University. It also consists of graduates and current and former faculty members of the Division of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering and related laboratories at the Graduate School of Energy Science and Graduate School of Informatics.
In addition to the HQ secretariat located at Kyoto University, the Rakuyukai has nine branches across Japan (Kansai, Tokyo, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu, Chubu, Hokuriku, Tohoku, and Hokkaido), which organize social gatherings with members, information exchanges between generations, and support activities for the abovementioned education and research organizations that serve as the parent organizations. These events are carried out as follows:

1. The HQ manages a membership register, publishes a bulletin four times a year, and holds the HQ general meetings. It executes support activities about technical information for the abovementioned education and research organizations and the publication of the PR information magazine CUE twice a year.
2. Each branch has its own plans for how to facilitate exchanges among members and organizes its own branch general meeting.
3. Supporting the organization of alumni reunions for graduates of each year.
4. Linking the websites of the HQ and the branches (www.rakuyukai.org) and of the electrical engineering-related departments at Kyoto University. These are published in the back issues of the newsletter and the public relations magazine CUE.
