The Hekisuikai was founded in Showa 24 (1949) as a gathering for faculty members, staff, and students of the Institute for Chemical Research. On the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Institute for Chemical Research, the Hekisuikai was reorganized to also include alumni and former faculty member and staff as well as have the aim of “facilitating friendships and close cooperation among its members,” thus creating the Hekisuikai (alumni association) on July 27, Heisei 19 (2007). The association’s members share all kinds of information relevant to the Institute for Chemical Research (bulletin Obaku) and has the Ryoinkai drinking party as our Homecoming Day, when we want everyone to get together and have a lot of fun. For details about who can join the Hekisuikai, please visit our website.
