The Chikyukai (Alumni Association of the Department of Geophysics, Division of Earth and Planetary Sciences) aims to develop the Department of Geophysics at Kyoto University and to promote friendship among its members. To this end, it holds general meetings and social gatherings, prepares and updates a membership register, and carries out other necessary activities. The membership consists of graduates of the Department of Geophysics in the Faculty of Science at Kyoto University, other graduates of the Faculty of Science who have studied mainly geophysics, students who are (or were) enrolled in the Division of Geophysics or the Field of Geophysics in the Division of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the Graduate School of Science at Kyoto University, faculty members (instructors) who are (or were) teaching at the abovementioned departments, and staff members who are (or were) working at the Department of Geophysics.
