Kyoto Uchukai (KUK) (Department of Astronomy and the Kwasan and Hida Observatories)

The Kyoto Uchukai (KUK) was founded in January 1985 to deepen the friendships among its members and facilitate academic exchange. The association’s members is a characteristically diverse group, including former students, faculty member, and staff of the Kyoto University Faculty of Science and Graduate School of Science Department of Astronomy and the Astronomical Observatory attached to the Graduate School of Science as well as others with some connections to the department or observatory.
Our activities include a general meeting, lecture meeting, and social gathering once a year as well as the publication of our bulletin once a year and memoirs and commemorative issues more irregularly. Moreover, we notify our members about relevant events as they come up through our e-mail list.
