Kyoto Alumni Association Malaysia (MYKYOTO)

Kyoto Alumni Association Malaysia (MYKYOTO) was established in 2011 and officially registered on January 20, 2016. Membership to the association is open to all who have formally attended Kyoto University in any program as well as those who have resided or attended universities in the Kyoto–Kansai area.

The main objectives of the Association are to provide a networking platform for research linkages, exchange of ideas, organization of educational and social activities, and promotion of international understanding and national unity.

MYKYOTO plans and implements various programs that bring together Malaysian alumni of Kyoto University, as well as Japanese citizens in Malaysia. It also works closely with its partner, Dark Blue no Kai (an association of Japanese Kyoto University graduates residing in Malaysia). To date, we have organized various events with alumni and members in the academe.
