For all alumni

Keika Gakushikai  (Department/Division of Chemistry)

The Keika Gakushikai (Department/Division of Chemistry) has, for a long time, been associated with the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1997 (Heisei 9).
The Association’s regulations state that the following are qualified to gain membership.
1) Those with a bachelor’s degree majoring in chemistry from the Faculty of Science at Kyoto University
2) Those with a master’s or doctoral degree majoring in chemistry from the Graduate School of Science at Kyoto University
3) Those who have engaged in research or teaching chemistry at the Division of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University
4) Those who are recognized as associate members by the Board of Trustees (as determined by the Association) for their significant contributions to the association

As such, nearly everyone who is a graduate or faculty member of the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science and the Division of Chemistry in the Graduate School of Science or have researched or taught there is a member.
Every spring, when graduation season rolls around, we invite trustees and alumni of the Association to a welcome party for the new members as they graduate from the faculty and graduate school, thereby deepening our friendships.
